Radar Installation Field Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and comissioning of radar equipment, antenna systems and related equipment.
- Laying of feeder and fiber-optic lines; installation of rack-mounted and switching hardware.
- Participation in system integration and testing processes using specialized instruments (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, RF power meters, signal generators, etc.).
- Configuration of radar software (e.g., MSSR setup, ASTERIX data connection, input of reference data).
- Support and configuration of data transmission networks (Ethernet, fiber optics, VPN, VLAN, IP).
- Project documentation preparation
Requirements:
- Technical degree in radio engineering, telecommunications, or automation.
- Understanding of radar surveillance system principles (Mode A/C, Mode S, ADS-B, PSR).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with radar systems (experience with INDRA equipment is an advantage).
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher (able to technical communication, read and understand technical documentation).
- Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Knowledge of electrical and fire safety standards, including work at heights and with RF-emitting devices.
- Willingness to travel frequently over the world.
Additional Qualifications:
- Valid international passport and no travel restrictions.
- Valid category B driver’s license.
- Strong self-organization skills, responsibility, and ability to work in multicultural teams.
